About Us:
The Effective
Communicator is a corporate
communications and professional development company
embodying over 20 years of successful experience with
entrepreneurs, small businesses, churches, the nonprofit
sector and corporate communities. We believe in
employing effective writing and public speaking skills
as a method of achieving success. We also believe in
empowering others to hone their own writing and public
speaking skills as well. And, by popular demand, our
team’s skills in utilizing effective public relations
strategies has also afforded us the opportunity to offer
public relations campaigns and special events planning
and promotions as part of our array of services.
The Effective Communicator is headed by Alonia Jernigan,
an award-winning journalist and highly sought after
public speaker. She was recently nominated as Most
Outstanding Journalist by the Electronic Urban Report, a
nomination she shared with Susan Taylor (formerly of
ESSENCE Magazine) and romance novelist Zane.
